JOHN JACKSON R.I.P
John Jackson was the goalkeeper in Leven AFC's first ever teams going back to the early 1990's.
John was an outstanding talent on the pitch and a fantastic lad off it, a credit to himself and his family. John earned recognition from Middlesbrough Football Club becoming a contracted keeper. John continued his playing career in the Northern League and was known to be one of the best keepers around earning respect from fellow players and supporters.
John always had time to talk and help where he could, this season he gave up some of his valuable time to train some of the Levens young keepers, approaching the sessions like he was playing himself, with ultimate professionalism.
A great keeper but an even better person, John will be sadly missed by many.
Our thoughts go out to John's family, girlfriend and friends at this sad time
John, you will always be our number 1
John Jackson who sadly lost his life in tragic circumstances Friday 2nd May 2008.
